Sunset at Cabezon Peak
Cabezon Peak is a large volcanic neck in central New Mexico. Cabezon means “big head” in Spanish, and one interpretation is that the Navajos thought this was the head of a giant slain in their mythology. In the foreground is desert grassland with scattered One-seed Juniper trees.
