Sand, pebbles, and wind

In this sand microcosm, the prevailing wind is right to left, and has created many parallel micro-dunes; and the prevailing wind exposed some small pebbles.

Then, more recently, a much stronger wind blew from lower-right to upper-left, creating mini-dunes behind each pebble.
