Tawny hiddenflower (Cryptantha fulvocanescens)

Common in the drier, lower pinyon-juniper and desert grassland areas of the Four Corners states. The yellow centers are bracts on the petals; the reproductive parts of the flower are hidden inside the floral tube - hence the name "hiddenflower."
