Landscape with a foreground of shales in a spectrum of reds, oranges, and maroons, and a background of sandstone cliffs in peach, yellow, and white (the white is actually formed from pumice).

On top of the cliffs is Ponderosa pine forest; above and below the shales are pinyon-juniper woodland and scattered Ponderosa pines.
