Northeast New Mexico landscape

This area is south of Capulin Volcano, and is the result of an old volcanic field with numerous old and eroded volcanic necks. The volcanic neck at the rear right that appears very corrugated is Palo Blanco Mountain.

This area gets somewhat more precipitation than southern New Mexico, and the grazing land is greener.
