Carved wood door at adobe chapel

Description

This adobe chapel was part of the adobe estate in Santa Fe known as "El Delirio." The estate is now the grounds of an educational institution. The chapel exhibits classical church adobe design, with heavy rounded shapes, strong wooden lintels over door, window, and bell tower. The double entry doors are hand-carved wood. This architectural style is known as Pueblo Revival. To eh left is a typical New Mexico ornament: a ristra of red chilis.
