Pronghorn herd in the Chihuahuan Desert

Description

A herd of American Pronghorn in a subsurface-watered area of the Chihuahuan Desert in southeast New Mexico. Technically, Pronghorn are in a different family of mammals than true antelope, so should be referred to as "Pronghorn," not "antelope." Visible on the low ridge in the background are juniper trees and Torrey Yucca.
