Spotted Towee singing his heart out

Description

This Towee, a type of sparrow, is common across the western U.S. As with most sparrows, has a short, conical beak for eating seeds (and insects in winter). Note the red eye. Females and males closely resemble one another; but as with all birds, it is the male who sings to attract females.
