Hoodoos and rock formations in Coalmine Canyon

Description

Coalmine Canyon is filled with strangely shaped rock formations, the result of long erosion of sedimentary strata. The rocks are in weird colors. Here, set against a deep blue sky.

This canyon is in northern Arizona, with jurisdiction split between the Navajo Nation and the Hopi Tribe.
