A seedling Boxelder tree in a sandstone canyon wall

In Paria Canyon, a canyon with deep sandstone walls that are mostly red in color. This seedling has somehow taken root in the canyon wall. This is spring, and the tree has recently leafed out with soft, bright-green leaves.
